As I stepped onto this land, a strong ethnic atmosphere and the simple air of life hit me, making me feel as if I was in a world that was both distant and familiar. The first thing that caught my eye was the towering and spectacular Drum Tower. As the iconic building of the Dong Village, the Drum Tower is not only a symbol of Dong culture but also a social place for the villagers. I walked into the Drum Tower and saw it filled with long benches, with villagers sitting or standing, chatting and enjoying themselves. I also found a spot to sit down and quietly listened to their conversations, feeling the harmony and tranquility. Leaving the Drum Tower, I strolled through the streets and alleys of the Dong Village. The houses here are typical Dong-style wooden structures, scattered on the hillside. I wandered among these simple dwellings, admiring the exquisite carvings and the unique stilted buildings, as if I had traveled back in time, experiencing the way of life of the Dong people. In the Dong Village, I also tasted authentic Dong cuisine. Sour soup fish, sticky rice, and pickled noodles are some of the special snacks that I enjoyed immensely. Especially with the warm hospitality of the Dong people, I felt the strong sense of human touch and the taste of home. At night, I attended the bonfire party in the Dong Village. The villagers, dressed in their best, sang and danced, celebrating the harvest and reunion. I was also invited to join in, holding hands in a circle, and started dancing joyfully. On this festive night, I felt the warm hospitality and unity of the Dong people. The tourism experience in Zhaoxing Dong Village is unforgettable. It not only has a unique ethnic culture and architectural style but also has simple folk customs and delicious food. I believe that in the days to come, I will return to this beautiful place to continue exploring its charm and stories.
