Admiralty Taiwan Restaurant

I am going to the Admiralty Government Offices at noon today, and I also made an appointment with my sister who works in the area to have lunch together. She recommended this value-for-money Taiwanese restaurant. Location: Near Taikoo Advertising Phase 3, in an alley with many restaurants. Environment: There are separate shops on the ground floor and upstairs. Since I was taking out a takeaway, I didn't go upstairs, but I saw that it was narrow and the seats were arranged closely. The basement floor is for takeout orders and lunch boxes. The stairwell is thoughtfully and nostalgically decorated, with a very Taiwanese style. Service: There is always a long queue during lunch time, whether you are ordering takeout or dining in, so be prepared to wait. We waited for fifteen minutes from the time we placed the order to the time we received the takeout, but we were not charged for the takeout boxes. Lunch: There is a lunch set menu available, with two soup bases to choose from, and noodles of different thicknesses. Winter melon tea or oolong tea is also provided. For Wan Chai District, the price is reasonable. 🥢Puli Huadiao Beef Noodles🍜 $72 Two additional side dishes were provided, namely pickled cabbage and fried dough sticks, served with handmade wide noodles. I appreciate that the noodles and soup are separated for takeaway, so they won't get mushy. The handmade noodles are chewy and have a little soup. The beef 🥩 is cooked quite soft and thick, with at least three or four pieces. The soup base is very spicy, with a little sesame oil and wine aroma. I am very satisfied with it as a whole. It feels like a high-quality product. No wonder there are long queues every day at lunch time. 🥢Spicy beef noodles🍜 $70 This is my sister's choice, also served with handmade wide noodles. The soup base is spicy. I tried a sip and it was indeed quite spicy, with a hint of beef flavor. I believe that the texture and taste of other ingredients are similar. 🥤Winter melon tea (cold) My sister and I both chose winter melon tea because it is the most outstanding drink in Taiwan, which is sweet and thirst-quenching.
