Liushuixiang Reservoir - a route that can be easily completed by novice hikers

Last week, I took advantage of the nice weather☀️ and went to Liushuixiang with my family. Liushuixiangshui Pond was built in the 1960s, but with the decline of agriculture, Liushuixiangshui Pond has now become a good place for outings. First arrive at Fanling Railway Station and take minibus 52B 🚐 (Hok Tau/Lau Shui Heung) and get off at the intersection of Lau Shui Heung Road and Hok Tau Road. One side leads to Hok Tau Reservoir, but this time we chose to walk along the Lau Shui Heung Trail to the entrance of Lau Shui Heung Reservoir Country Park. Liushui Xiangshui Pond is known as the "Hong Kong version of Karuizawa" and the "Hong Kong version of the Sky Mirror" and has a pleasant scenery. There were also couples on that day who wore kimonos to take photos. Walking from the entrance along the pond to the forest full of bald cypress and melaleuca reminds me of the feeling I had in Nami Island in Seoul a few years ago. (I haven’t been out for a long time. I am really looking forward to this long-awaited trip) Although it is autumn now, the temperature in Hong Kong is still relatively warm, so it is not yet the time for the "red leaves 🍁 to fall" (revealing age series 😆). Whenever winter approaches, when the leaves of the bald cypress turn yellow, orange and red, and are reflected in the mirror of the sky, this scene is also one of the beautiful views that many photography enthusiasts love to capture every year. But every time the leaves change color, there will be more tourists, so fortunately the leaves have not changed color yet and there are not many people on the day. There were several barbecue sites 🔥 and camping spots 🏕️ along the way, but they were not available because the facilities were not yet unsealed. We reached the fork in the road and chose Jiulongkeng as the end of our trip. We reached a small hill and saw a small tree. The sun happened to be at this angle. Standing here, we could have a panoramic view of the plains near Jiulongkeng, which was a great place to check in. There is a British military outpost nearby, which is marked on Google map. It has traces of history, but I am too timid to go in😅. Then continue along the road until you reach the entrance of Kau Lung Hang Village at the foot of the mountain, where you can take minibus 25B to Tai Po Market.
