Must Eat Food at Tai O Fishing Village

Tai O is known for its premium seafood and dried barbeque squid jerky, marinated giant cuttlefish, dried mantis shrimps and pork belly with Tai O’s signature shrimp paste, fresh oysters, and scallops. My favourite is mug wort leaf cake, a Chinese dessert that is chewy and mochi-alike. Please look for the uncle selling charcoal grilled eggette, it was crispy and so tasty. There are restaurants like Tai O Banyan Tree, Wah Li Snack, Station Tofu Pudding, Black Pearl, Tai O Lookout, and cafes serving delicious food. Other popular snacks are giant fish balls, Chinese sugar doughnut, Chinese crepes, “Husband’s meaty rolls, Cantonese shrimp roe noodles, charcoal grilled skewers of seafood, and many more.
