Winter in the Peak District

The British winter is often seen through the lens of dark nights and people sat at home by the fire as it rains outside. Those who choose to get outdoors during this period are rewarded with the same beautiful views but can often find themselves on the side of hills and mountains without another sole around. One of the great spots to do this is Bamford Edge in the Peak District, where a short but steep walk up can lead to views across the Peak District and onto Bamford Reservoir below.
