Rock Star Views Tripcom⛰️

***HUANGSHAN IN NOVEMBER *** Go early in the morning (by 7am) to allow you to cover more grounds on the mountain as well to avoid the crowd especially queuing for cable car. Even when we went in mid November which is consider non-peak season we had to queue for 40mins before we hopped on the cable car (we started off from Yunggu cableway). The ride took about 10 mins up but the moment we stepped out of the cable car….. WHOAS! 😊. First, the mountain rocks. They’re not just sitting there; they’re posing. You’ve got one that looks like a “monkey gazing at sea” (which is just clouds by the way😬) or “two deity playing chinese chess”, “a fairy peach”(although I think it look more like a deity gazing afar) and even “Goddess Of Mercy”(which I must say is difficult to see if no one point them out to you) to name a few. These granite and rocks do not simply offer a view ; it offers a perspective. Silent narratives of time and resilience. Then, there are the Huangshan pines. Clinging to these seemingly inhospitable cliffs the pines is the second element of Huangshan’s soul. Their vibe is pure and zen. The Greeting Guest Pines is basically the world’s most hospitable tree😉 The path to each scenic point has clear signage so you will definitely not get lost. As we wandered along the various winding paths in the mountain we were definitely rewarded with the magnificent view Huangshan has to offer!! We didn’t stay overnight at the mountain which we heard provide an incredible sunrise view. We ended our climb at Yuping cableway. By then it was late afternoon (4:30) the crowd has build up so much at the cable station, we were recommended by the staff to walk down instead, since it takes the same about of waiting time vs to walk down. A terrible mistake at our end to choose the latter because it was a very exhausting 2 hours with 95% walking down endless flights of steps after steps after steps! So always choose to ride the cable car down….even up for that matter🫣. Despite the wobbling knees 😬, all in all Huangshan is DEFINITELY a must visit. And try to spend 3 days in Huangshan area so you can visit the nearby towns as well. Tips : 1. If you can’t get your scenic area entrance ticket, cableway or shuttle bus tickets you can purchase them at Xiaoyao Transfer station. 2. Pls bring/buy a cane if you intend to walk up/down instead of taking the cable car. You will need it! 3. If you are coming end of autumn/winter bring a thermos to store hot water. There are hot water dispensers that you can refill along the way up the mountain 4. Face mask, gloves are optional but good to have. #falladventures #huangshan
