Exploring Bochorna, Europe’s Highest Village

#summervacay Bochorna is wild, in the best way. It’s literally the highest permanently inhabited village in all of Europe, and you totally feel it. Getting there is a bit of an adventure (aka bumpy mountain roads and some deep-breath moments), but once you arrive, it’s like being on top of the world. The village itself is tiny, like, really tiny. A few stone houses, some farm animals, and just a whole lot of mountain all around. It’s insanely quiet, super remote, and the kind of place where your phone definitely won’t be buzzing. And that’s exactly the point. The views? Unbelievable. Clouds rolling below you, jagged peaks in every direction, and fresh alpine air that makes you feel like you’re in a nature commercial. Locals are warm and low key, and everything just moves at its own calm pace. If you’re into raw, untouched nature and epic solitude, Bochorna is next-level. Definitely not touristy, and that’s what makes it so special. Just pure, high-altitude peace.
