Weekend getaway from the city to Kuala Sepetang

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to take a short getaway to Kuala Sepetang, a charming destination rich in culture and natural beauty. During the trip, I visited a traditional charcoal factory and observed the fascinating process of charcoal production. A speedboat ride along the river provided memorable experiences, including interacting with a puffer fish and witnessing the incredible spectacle of eagle feeding. The highlight of the trip was definitely the second speedboat session at night to view the enchanting fireflies—a truly magical experience. What stood out most was the warmth and hospitality of the Kuala Sepetang community, a refreshing contrast to the fast-paced city life. Their genuine friendliness and non calculating nature left a lasting impression. I highly recommend visiting Kuala Sepetang at least once—it’s an experience you won’t forget!
