Nestled by the water, the ancient town of Jinxi boasts a history of over a thousand years, with verses left by ancient poets: The slanting sun casts poetic thoughts on the cold shore, where does the autumn wind sigh its tune. The water overflows the reeds, but feelings fall short, beneath the Jinxi bridge, white smoke arises. Named after the stream, the town features emerald bridges and willows, densely scattered lakes, and a landscape of pavilions and groves like an ink painting. Full of art and folk tunes, it's a characteristic uniquely belonging to Jinxi. Jinxi Town, at the intersection of Wenchang Road and Puqing Road Transportation: Depart from Golden Eagle Plaza, take bus 125 and transfer to bus 130, about a 1.5-hour journey. By car, it only takes 40 minutes. Close to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town and Ji Family Dun. To Wenchang Road, then walk another two hundred meters inside until you reach the entrance of the scenic area. There's a ticket office at the entrance, ignore it, no need to buy tickets, just enter the scenic area directly. You can buy boat tour tickets inside, it's recommended to check the weather forecast before leaving, as the roads can be slippery in the rain, not very suitable for strolling in the ancient town. You can take a photo with the stone stele at the entrance, Jinxi is said to be the hometown of folk museums. When I went during the Qingming Festival, the museums were not open, possibly because of the public holiday. Taking a boat tour costs 10 yuan per person, and you can also listen to fishermen's duet singing.
