Rainbow Danxia—Awe at the wonders of nature

It is said that when Nuwa mended the sky in the legend, she collected colorful stones between heaven and earth, one of which was ground into powder and fell to the world. And this powder fell in Zhangye, forming the Rainbow Danxia. In September, the weather is still a bit hot, but when you come to this sacred land, you won't feel particularly hot. Maybe it's a gift from the plateau, or a blessing from Danxia. Rainbow Danxia has three entrances: the east gate, the north gate, and the west gate. The content of the scenic spots is the same, just in a different order. The north gate has the most tourists, we chose the west gate. As soon as you enter the scenic area, there are buses available, the waiting time is not long, you can follow the convoy. We first came to the Cloud Sea Platform, to be honest, the scenery here is average, like a small dish before the main meal, just to whet your appetite. But when we arrived at the Rainbow Platform, we finally saw the real Rainbow Danxia, it really lives up to its name! At this moment, I firmly believe that this is not a place in the world. The formation of Danxia landform requires tens of thousands or even hundreds of millions of years. The Danxia landform of Zhangye was formed in the Jurassic period. Historically, this place was probably an ocean. For some academic terms, I won't go into detail. All we need to know is that the Danxia landform cannot be regenerated, so the tickets here are very worthwhile. Looking at the landform from a distance, you can see layer upon layer of light and shadow effects, presenting strange colors such as red, yellow, gray, orange, and white. I also carefully observed the sand and soil, and found that they are also colorful. Although I know little about the principle, I can't help but marvel at the magic and wonder of nature. Climbing up the viewing platform, the wind from the northwest blows without hesitation, cool and pleasant, and the sweat gradually dries. My mind is full of this strange scene in front of me. There is a cultural and creative shop on the 4th platform, where you can get a stamp. Unfortunately, I didn't bring a notebook, so I had to stamp it on the ticket. Everyone travels for different purposes. On this trip, I am not pursuing to take more beautiful photos, but to appreciate the magnificent scenery of this magical region. If I have the chance, I would like to come again. Here are some tips for visiting: - Ticket price: 92 yuan - Recommended viewing time: Morning and evening are the best, the afternoon in September is a bit hot, the light is average, it is said that it is more suitable after the rain. - Photo suggestion: The colorful landform is beautiful no matter how you shoot it. As for portrait photography, it depends on specific needs. There are not many areas for shooting. If it is the peak season, it is difficult to get a perfect portrait scene, of course, this also depends on the photographer's skill level. Drones are not allowed for aerial photography. - Tour route: The ticket will provide a recommended tour route. If you have enough time, it is recommended to go and see. The scenery seen from each viewing platform is different, but the focus is still on the Rainbow Platform. - Food recommendation: There is a dining area in the scenic area. Although the variety is not much, it is still rich, the taste is moderate, and the price is not high. It's also a good choice to rest here halfway. - Warm reminder: When taking a shuttle bus in the scenic area, be careful to choose the shuttle bus with the same line and color as the gate you entered. If you choose the wrong line, you will go in the opposite direction, and then you have to turn back, wasting time.
