MOUNT MERAPI

Mount Merapi (peak altitude 2,930 masl, as of 2010) is a volcano in the central part of the island of Java and is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. The southern side of the slope is under the administration of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, and the rest is in the area of ​​Central Java Province, namely Magelang Regency on the west side, Boyolali Regency on the north and east side, and Klaten Regency on the southeast side.
