Saint Paul’s Island

St Paul’s Island is a small island off the north east coast of Malta. According to legend it’s close to the location where Saint Paul was shipwrecked on his way to Rome in around 60 A.D. On the island there is a statue of Saint Paul gazing out to sea. The island has a rugged beauty and is often deserted as it can only really be reached easily by boat. #malta #mediterranean #island
