Mount Fuji, Nagano & Kamakura: Peaks, Powder, and Coastal Calm:

#springitinerary This part of our trip was a refreshing mix of awe-inspiring landscapes, winter sports, and tranquil coastal charm. Mount Fuji’s iconic silhouette was the star of the show — we captured postcard-perfect views from Arakurayama Sengen Park, with its famous red pagoda framed against the snowy peak, and Chureito Pagoda where vibrant maple trees added rich splashes of color. Oishi Park’s seasonal flowers created a colorful foreground to the majestic mountain, and we indulged in local snacks while soaking in the panoramic views. Nagano offered a thrilling winter playground at Ichinose Ski Resort. Crisp mountain air, powdery snow, and endless ski lifts provided hours of adventure. After exhilarating runs, we warmed up in cozy mountain restaurants, sampling hearty fare like rich ramen and unique Nagano herbs curry, a healthy and flavorful dish that perfectly revived us before the evening train ride back. Kamakura was a gentle contrast — a laid-back seaside town where we enjoyed the scenic Enoden train ride along the coast, watching waves crash and Mount Fuji peek through the clouds. Breakfast at a local café near the train tracks featured perfectly grilled fish with a delicate whipped egg, setting a peaceful tone for the day. We visited the Great Buddha and wandered colorful food streets filled with local delicacies, offering a glimpse into coastal life with its calm vibes and historic charm. This combination of mountain majesty, snowy fun, and coastal tranquility gave us a diverse taste of Japan’s natural beauty and culinary traditions.
