Every March when the magnolias bloom, Chaotian Palace and Linggu Temple are undoubtedly the top attractions🆙 But I want to say, Yu Garden, this niche spot, is absolutely 💯 not inferior. Compared to the popular spots where people are packed like sardines🔥, 99% of people don't know about this place. ⛲️Yu Garden, also known as Hu's Garden, is located in the west area of the South Gate of the old city. It is one of the few remaining private gardens in Nanjing. 🍃The water and rocks are serene and full of wild charm. Yu Garden is a combination of Suzhou-style gardens and Huizhou-style houses. With its grey bricks, small tiles, horse head walls, and corridors with hanging windows and flower-patterned grilles, when the white magnolias blend with the classical garden, it's really too perfect‼️ Yu Garden is considered a niche spot in Nanjing, and it's always sparsely populated whenever I go. But it's truly a hidden gem, with pavilions and towers standing by the lake, each corner is uniquely designed. Behind the rockeries, several magnolia trees are already in full bloom.
