The place you are most likely to be unaware of

Paul Andreu, the master of contemporary romanticism architecture who presided over the design of the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China, left behind his ultimate masterpiece in China before his passing--the Nantong Grand Theatre in Jiangsu. It is located on the east side of Zilang Lake in the Zhongchuang District of Nantong, with a total construction area of over 110,000 square meters, ranking it among the top five 'super cultural palaces' in China in terms of size. The Grand Theatre stands by the Zilang Lake, forming a unique landscape of 'Qinshan and Zhushui', and the Nantong Art Museum nearby has a total construction area of 32,000 square meters and is about 24 meters high, consisting of two semi-circles of different styles. On the southwest side along the road, there is a relatively regular semi-circle with a smooth arc on the facade, complemented by white perforated aluminum panels, echoing the Grand Theatre, while the 'boxes' scattered on the northeast side along the lake are like a 'kaleidoscope' of blooming art. 'Heavenly music flows from Qinshan, and boats ripple in Zhushui,' this is the main design concept of the Grand Theatre. On the lakeside of the Grand Theatre, the undulating roof design is smooth and flowing, resembling two concerting pianos releasing melodious music; it is also like a paper phoenix dancing and ready to take flight. The facade and roof of the Grand Theatre adopt irregular curved surfaces, deeply branded with the design imprint of the architectural master Paul Andreu, and from an aerial view, the five halls are like five petals blooming by the Zilang Lake.
