📍Taipei Travel Guide | Exploring the City at a Slow Pace

🏮 P2-3: Raohe Night Market & Ciyou Temple As the sun set, the streets of Raohe Night Market came alive. Stalls lined up in neat rows, each offering a different kind of street food, filling the air with enticing aromas. The buzz of the crowd, the sizzle of food being grilled, and the flashing neon signs all created an intoxicating atmosphere. Right at the entrance of the market stands Ciyou Temple, a stunningly intricate structure with golden carvings and detailed dragon sculptures. The contrast between the temple’s peaceful aura and the lively energy of the night market was fascinating—tradition and modernity coexisting in perfect harmony. 🌊 P4-7: Jiufen Jiufen, shrouded in mist and drizzle, feels like a scene straight out of a Studio Ghibli film. The winding stone-paved alleys, wooden houses nestled on the hillside, and rows of red lanterns glowing softly in the rain create an atmosphere both nostalgic and mysterious. Standing at the observation deck, I caught a glimpse of the famous Yin-Yang Sea, where the ocean meets the land in a striking contrast of deep blue and golden hues. The mountain breeze carried a crisp, salty scent, and despite the cold drizzle, the beauty of this old mountain town was undeniable. 🏞️ P8-10: Qingtiangang, Yangmingshan Tucked away in Yangmingshan National Park, Qingtiangang is a vast grassland that feels like Taipei’s own little version of Switzerland. Rolling green hills stretch endlessly, dotted with grazing cattle that seem entirely unbothered by passing visitors. Walking on the soft grass, breathing in the crisp mountain air, I felt an incredible sense of tranquility. From the hilltops, the cityscape in the distance looked like a miniature model, a stark contrast to the untouched beauty of nature surrounding me. 🌅 P11-13: Tamsui Old Street & Fisherman’s Wharf Unlike Jiufen’s nostalgic charm, Tamsui Old Street had a more laid-back and romantic vibe. Strolling along the riverside, I watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon, painting the sky in warm hues of orange and pink. The gentle lapping of the waves added to the peacefulness of the moment. A little further ahead was Fisherman’s Wharf, home to the iconic Lover’s Bridge. The gracefully curved bridge, set against the backdrop of the sunset, looked straight out of a postcard. Standing there, feeling the sea breeze on my face, I realized that sometimes, the simplest moments make the best memories. #favouriteltinerary #travel #naturalwonders
