#familytrips2024 Our family road trip along the G318, the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, was an extraordinary journey through some of China's most spectacular landscapes. Stretching over 2,000 kilometers from Chengdu in Sichuan to Lhasa in Tibet, the route offered a blend of stunning natural beauty and cultural richness. We drove through diverse terrains, from verdant valleys and high-altitude grasslands to snow-capped mountains and deep gorges. Highlights included the breathtaking views at Kangding, the sacred Yarlung Tsangpo River, and the awe-inspiring Mount Everest base camp. Along the way, we visited ancient Tibetan monasteries, sampled local cuisine, and experienced the warmth of Tibetan hospitality. The journey was challenging yet rewarding, providing unforgettable family memories and a profound appreciation for the region's beauty and culture.
