It integrates cultural relic protection, cultural relic research, exhibitions, and education. The Quanzhou History Exhibition is divided into four parts: "Early Development," "The Rise of Citong," "The Largest Port in the East," and "The Heroic Spirit of Quannan." It takes Quanzhou's history as the main line, starting from ancient times, and includes the traces of the Minyue ancestors living and multiplying on this land, the prosperity of the Maritime Silk Road, the prosperity of the largest port in the East, and the historical chapters of Quanzhou in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Every cultural relic in the museum, whether it is exquisite ceramics, stoneware, sculptures, paintings, wood carvings, or traditional handicrafts, is like a silent storyteller, telling visitors stories of the past. Quanzhou Museum is a window to the multicultural treasure house of Quanzhou, reproducing the ancient port civilization and the history of the Maritime Silk Road, and fully demonstrating the image of Quanzhou as a coastal city.
