Ancient City Museum, Samut Prakan

This time, we take you to visit the Ancient City, a tourist attraction located in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. It was founded by Mr. Lek Viriyaphant and is the largest open-air museum in the world, replicating important Thai landmarks from all regions in one place. The highlight here is the replication of ancient structures and significant landmarks unique to Thailand, such as the Sanphet Prasat Palace, Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai, Phimai Historical Park, and the Bangkok City Pillar Shrine. Each site is meticulously and beautifully recreated according to the original. The Ancient City also offers interesting activities such as cycling tours, boat rides around the area, and various cultural performances. It is perfect for history enthusiasts and those who want to experience Thailand's cultural heritage. Open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Admission fees: • For Thai adults: approximately 400 THB • For Thai children: approximately 200 THB • For foreign adults: approximately 700 THB • For foreign children: approximately 350 THB • Golf cart, bicycle rentals, or tram tours are available for an additional fee depending on the type of service. How to get there: 1. By private car: Drive along Sukhumvit Road (old route) to kilometer 33, near the Bang Pu intersection. 2. By BTS Skytrain: Get off at Kheha Station and take a taxi or songthaew to the Ancient City (about 10 minutes). 3. By public transport: You can take a van or songthaew from BTS Kheha Station or nearby areas. Facilities: • There are restaurants, coffee shops, convenient restrooms, and rest stops for tourists. • There are many beautiful photo spots featuring the replicated architecture of each region, suitable for families and groups of friends.
