Owl's Hideaway - Seton Ross's Lodge

Just one word... Amazing! I desperately needed some time to rest, and this place definitely did that. It's a peaceful area, we saw two deer near the trees in the next field, and it was truly magical! We sat in the hot tub at night and saw the stars so clearly, we even saw a shooting star. There are plenty of shopping places within a short drive, and York Center is also nearby. It's a shame that the pub still doesn't serve food. So we didn't go there because we wanted a pub that serves food. We have one day left and check out tomorrow. We will definitely come back, it was a really amazing short break from reality. It's just cool here and now. Staying at Roe Lodge, it's quiet and peaceful, but we are the only people here haha. The weather in January is good, it's frosty at the start but the sun is shining and it's quite warm. The cabin's facilities are excellent and very clean. We brought our own food and drinks, remember to bring breakfast, milk, butter, sauces, etc. The Black Horse Pub doesn't open on Tuesdays and only serves drinks on Wednesdays. The TV offers Netflix, Prime, and many other channels, it's the first nice cabin we've stayed in. The hot tub is great. We brought slippers, dressing gowns, and extra towels. You will need them if you go in and out all afternoon and evening like we did. Last night with the clear sky, we saw a beautiful sunset and as it got dark, we could sit and watch the stars, the weather was surprisingly warm, and it was perfect without even a breeze. The only thing I can suggest is a few slip mats on the deck stairs going down to the tub because it's quite slippery since it's winter. We spent a day in York and came back for a fantastic break in the tub. Well thought out, everything you need. Will stay again.
