[Gifu] Learn about the Battle of Sekigahara at the Gifu Sekigahara Battlefield Memorial Museum

#Spring0yentrip In Sekigahara, about 50 minutes by train from Nagoya, we visited the Gifu Sekigahara Battlefield Memorial Museum. Located close to the battlefield, it was a place where we could learn about the history of the war in depth. Inside the museum, there were exhibits detailing the Battle of Sekigahara, and the flow of the battle and the tactics of the participating warlords were explained in an easy-to-understand manner. In particular, the weapons and battle dioramas from that time were very impressive, and it felt like we had traveled back in time to that era. There were maps of the battlefield and battle simulations on display, and we were able to experience the fierceness of the Battle of Sekigahara. When we went outside, the battlefield site quietly stood in the middle of a wide rural landscape, and it felt like the silence now speaks of the fierceness of the battle. It was a place where we had a valuable experience of learning about the history of the Sengoku period and reflecting deeply on it.
