The current museum is located in Songze Square in the new city area of Qingpu. It is a two-story modern geographical museum. ✅The museum has 2 permanent exhibition halls: 1⃣️The source of ancient civilization in Shanghai: This exhibition hall is located on the first floor of the museum, mainly displaying precious cultural relics unearthed from Songze, Fuquanshan and other sites. It narrates the development process of ancient Shanghai from the Majiabang, Songze, Liangzhu, Maqiao and other cultural stages to the Han Dynasty. 2⃣️The charm of Shencheng's water culture: This exhibition hall is located on the first and second floors of the museum, displaying more than 400 cultural relics related to water town culture, ancient bridges, customs, towns, etc., analyzing the unique charm of Shencheng's water town culture. ✅At present, the temporary exhibition hall, "The essence of heaven and earth, the formation of stones".
