[Shikoku] "Shimanto Rakusha" utilizing a closed elementary school

In 1999, the former Nishitosa Village Nakahan Elementary School was closed. Shimanto Rakusha was established to utilize the site of the closed school. Shimanto Rakusha is managed and operated by Shimanto City, the owner of the former school site, under the management of the facility. It has been reborn as a nature experience accommodation facility that offers accommodation and experience programs. The purpose of Shimanto Rakusha is to protect the beautiful nature of the Shimanto River basin, connect it to the future, and act as a stopover point for green tourism that aims to revitalize the region. You can spend a relaxing time in the school building surrounded by the Shimanto River and mountains. There are nine rooms for accommodation: classrooms (6 rooms), a health room, a broadcasting room, and the principal's office. The classrooms can accommodate up to 6 people. Since we were a large group of 21 people, we rented 4 classrooms and divided them into rooms for boys and girls! The rooms are on the second floor. The lights are turned off at 11pm, so we chatted in the chat room three times after 11pm✨ There is also a restaurant on the first floor where you can eat dinner and breakfast. (Reservations are required, so you need to select this when making your reservation) We ordered dinner. The restaurant has salt-grilled river fish and miso soup... Attracted by the smell of rice, we wandered over to the restaurant and started eating. The rice was so delicious😋 We had seconds and emptied the commercial rice cooker (lol) You can also use it just for activities✨ There are many activities to enjoy on the Shimanto River, such as canoe touring, which is available all year round, and seasonal stream walking!
