Yongning Ancient Garrison Town

✅ Yongning Garrison is located in Yongning Town, Shishi City, Fujian Province, shaped like an ao fish, historically known as Ao City, and was a key coastal defense fortress in ancient southeastern China. ✅ Yongning Garrison was built in 1394, the 27th year of the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty, and has a history of more than six hundred years. At that time, it was known as one of the three major garrisons in the country, alongside Tianjin Garrison and Weihai Garrison. ✅ Such a 'historically profound' Yongning Garrison, however, is rarely sought after. First of all, the maintenance of the ancient buildings is not well done; some story-rich 'Fanzi Buildings' have not been well protected. Inside the garrison town, there is hardly any sign of renovation on the buildings, and the traces of time are mottled on the dilapidated houses, revealing their broken and tattered state, which really can't make people fond of them. Secondly, unlike other well-developed ancient towns or old streets with a strong commercial atmosphere, Yongning has almost no tourists, and places to sit down and take a rest are extremely rare.
