Koiwai Farm, located at the southern foot of Mount Iwate, is a vast expanse of green land filled with a sense of openness. You can feel the comfort of nature while watching cows and sheep relaxing leisurely. You can take a walk, interact with the animals, or enjoy various activities. Adjacent to the Koiwai Farm Makiba-en is the Kamimaru Barn, the birthplace of Koiwai Farm's dairy farming. About 300 mother cows and calves live here. In the early morning, you can see them stretching out outside the barn. Additionally, nine buildings, including the active barn and Japan's oldest silo, are designated as important cultural properties by the country.
