Lau Pa Sat market in town

In the heart of Singapore’s central business district, there is a well-known local hawker market called Lau Pa Sat! It has actually become a popular tourist destination because of the delicious and authentic local food you can get here. Some of the famous food options you have to try are the Hokkien mee, bak kut teh and fried kway teow. Also, I highly recommend coming later in the evening as that’s when they will cordon off one whole street from traffic to set up barbecued satay live stations! Customers can sit at the makeshift tables and chairs along this street and dine under the stars. It is quite the experience as you soak in the hawker street food bustle!
