Luoyang, Henan | This mountain range, once sung in the 'Book of Songs', hides a stone tribe

Among the remaining peaks of the Funiu Mountain range spanning 800 li, in the mountain range of Jiugao where 'the crane cries in the nine marshes, its voice heard in the sky' from the Book of Songs, there is a primitive village hidden for 600 years. Song County, Luoyang, Jiudian Township, Shichang Village, now, is more often referred to as the Stone Tribe. This is a kingdom built of stones, wild, simple, primitive and natural. Stone paths, stone courtyards, stone houses, stone tables, stone stools, stone mills... Stone houses are adjacent, stone courtyards and stone walls are formed naturally, stone mills and stone rollers can be seen everywhere; four streets, seven lanes, eighteen alleys, connected by stones, echoing each other. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, with the large-scale 'immigration wave', the brothers Chai Qilong and Chai Qifeng led their families to move from Hongtong County, Shanxi to here, opening up mountains and roads, and building stone houses. In this way, over the long years, they have proliferated for more than 30 generations, built a stone kingdom, and formed a primitive village of less than 300 people. ✅Stone, composing nostalgia The stones here are composing nostalgia. The stone-built courtyard walls, the stone-paved paths, simple and vicissitudinous, exuding the unique aroma of the hometown, are the lost nostalgia.
