Suihua City, also known as Beituanglinzi, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Province, located in the central part of Heilongjiang Province, in the Hulan River Basin of the Songnen Plain; it is adjacent to Lindu Yichun in the east, close to the provincial capital Harbin in the south, Daqing, the oil city in the west, Heihe, the port in the north, and Hecheng Qiqihar in the northwest, with a total area of 35,000 square kilometers. The geographical feature is 'two mountains, one water, and seven fields'. In the Suihua region, in the 11th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1885), the Suihua Administrative Commissioner's Office was established. Suihua, in Manchu language, means auspicious and peaceful, hence the name. In 1956, the regional commissioner's office was established, and in December 1999, the city was established by withdrawing the region. Suihua is an important transportation hub in Heilongjiang Province, one of the six major passenger and cargo transfer centers in the province, and an important regional central city north of Harbin; there are many scenic spots in the territory, such as Lansi Huangyazi Guandong Folk Tourism Cultural Village Scenic Area, etc.
