China boasts numerous gardens, but if you want to experience the serene and elegant beauty of nighttime, the Retreat Garden in Tongli Ancient Town is highly recommended. 😌 I visited on a Sunday night, and perhaps because the following day was a weekday, the place was quite empty, allowing for a leisurely exploration. If you have time, the best way to enjoy your visit is to enter the garden between 4 PM and 5 PM and savor the transition from dusk to nighttime in the Retreat Garden! ▶︎ Notes In May, there were quite a few mosquitoes, so don't forget to bring insect repellent spray! Also, since re-entry with the same ticket is not allowed, it might be a good idea to bring a light jacket or something similar.
