After a long hiatus, Little Mongolian is back! 🥳 Since experiencing the disastrous new menu at the end of last year, I decided to give up on Little Mongolian 🙈. But now, with a new menu, I thought I'd give it another try 🥰. Little Mongolian now offers four pricing tiers: $799 (weekday exclusive), $999, $1299, and $1599. You can also upgrade to a hot pot and grill combo for an additional fee. Today, I went straight for the $1299 deluxe premium option. Compared to the $999 tier, this includes A5 premium marbled Wagyu beef, Choice boneless short ribs, Iberico pork, and sashimi-grade scallops. The Linkou branch has a self-service area for sauces, drinks, desserts, and ice cream. Meat, fresh ingredients, and Häagen-Dazs ice cream are ordered via QR code. Each order is limited to 20 items, with a cooldown time of just 2 minutes. You can order up to 10 portions of a single item. There are six soup bases available. Today, I chose Mongolian spicy and Mongolian health broth. Both were aromatic and flavorful, so there's no need for dipping sauces 👍. For meats, I tried the A5 premium marbled Wagyu beef, Choice boneless short ribs, F1 snowflake Wagyu beef, A5 marbled beef, and Iberico pork. The first two were the best! The Iberico pork had an overpowering pork flavor that made it inedible 🙈. Seafood quality remains consistent. The clams were large and fresh, while the angel red shrimp and blue diamond shrimp were excellent. However, the sashimi-grade scallops were disappointing—they shrank to just one-third of their original size and lacked sweetness 😞. Don't miss the Häagen-Dazs cups and ice cream bars for dessert! Ordering time is 90 minutes, and dining time is 2 hours. Final thoughts: Next time, I'll probably stick to the $699 option for the shoulder short ribs. In the future, Mrs. Sun and Desert Red seem like safer choices 😆.
