Here are some tips: ● Recommended duration: 2 hours! ● No lockers available (suggest using nearby facilities) ● Advance reservation required The venue is slightly larger than the previous Ghibli exhibition held at the same location, making it even more impressive! Details: 【1】Studio Ghibli's History (text and panels) Most of this area is no-photography, including the 3D display of "Princess Mononoke." However, this might vary depending on the staff's instructions on the day. Be sure to follow their guidance to avoid any issues, as some people mistakenly upload prohibited photos to social media or attend under press privileges. 【2】3D Displays Each display is marked with either "Photography OK" or "No Photography," so be sure to check. The joy of capturing iconic scenes from your preferred angles and perspectives was a personal highlight of this exhibition! 【3】Three Photo Spots Similar to previous exhibitions, there are designated photo spots. Featured works include "From Up on Poppy Hill," "Whisper of the Heart," and "Kiki's Delivery Service." However, during my visit, these spots were open for free viewing, with visitors forming lines or gathering spontaneously. Whether you can capture the entire scene depends on the situation at the time! I visited on the fourth day after opening, during a weekday afternoon (around 3 PM). Tickets seemed to be selling out gradually, so early booking is recommended. With summer vacation approaching, expect crowds. \ Anticipated summer vacation rush // Despite tickets selling out, the venue wasn't overwhelmingly crowded. You could still find moments to take photos by waiting for the crowd to pass. However, as summer approaches... 【Photography Fun!】 I brought a zoom lens, which significantly enhanced the enjoyment of the 3D displays! I took so many photos that I couldn't share them all here, but I'll post more on other social media platforms. This Ghibli exhibition is enjoyable for both adults and children! Featuring works from older classics to newer releases (though fewer of the latter), it’s a great opportunity for engaging conversations like "What should we see next?" or "Do you know this one?" Personally, I found the stories about Ghibli's international ventures fascinating and learned more about the studio. 【About Luggage】 If you have large luggage like a carry-on, you'll need to store it nearby. While you might be able to bring it in, the venue has narrow spaces and stairs, so it's not recommended. For smaller items, there are lockers inside and outside Shin-Kiba Station. While there are plenty, they might fill up due to proximity to Tokyo Disneyland. If Shin-Kiba is full, try Maihama Station! It has many large lockers suitable for carry-ons, and you can almost certainly find space there. However, since it's about 30 minutes from the venue, plan your schedule accordingly. 【Recommendation】 If you plan to use the Rinkai Line more than twice, consider purchasing a one-day pass.
