Hubei Yichang Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County Chaibuxi | Chabuxi, a picturesque canyon with three thousand peculiar peaks

The Chaibu Creek Canyon Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County in the southwest of Hubei Province, bordered to the north by the 800-mile Qingjiang River, and connected to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie to the south, Jianghan Plain to the east, and Emei Mountain to the west. The scenic area is about 30 kilometers long with a total area of 80 square kilometers. It is a national forest park, national geological park, and national 4A-level scenic tourist area featuring steep cliffs, stone forests, clear streams in the canyon, primitive ecology, and Tujia customs. The Chaibu Creek Canyon Scenic Area is located on the internationally recognized "Unique Earth Circle at North Latitude 30°", and like Zhangjiajie, it is a rare karst canyon scenic area. Chai Bu Xi Canyon Scenic Area, like Zhangjiajie, belongs to the Wuling Mountains with a maximum altitude of 1418 meters and a vegetation coverage rate of up to 81%. The average summer temperature is only 22 degrees Celsius, making it very comfortable to experience. It is known as the "cool fairyland of Chai Bu Xi, no need to fan in the hot summer". The special geographical location has created many mysterious and interesting natural phenomena in the scenic area, with rich flora and fauna, strange peaks and rocks everywhere, and more than 10 rare and endangered tree species growing, as well as national first-class protected animals such as black musk deer, leopards, and doll fish. A clear stream runs through the entire grand canyon. The rocks on both sides of the valley have been eroded, weathered and collapsed for millions of years, forming a unique landscape of peaks and forests, resembling people or objects, all vividly shaped and lifelike. "Zhangjiajie in the south, Chaibu Creek in the north" is the true evaluation of her by the world. In autumn, here are thousands of strange peaks, each peak adorned with red leaves; in winter, here are silver needles covering the trees and white jade building thousands of peaks. Different seasons bring different beautiful scenery. Among them, the "Divine Brush Peak" and scenic spots such as "Pen Holder Mountain", "Mouth-to-Mouth Stone", and "Head Mountain" are the most magical and breathtaking. Route 1: Tanzikou Scenic Area: Enter the scenic area from the gate at Tanzikou, and start playing along our left hand side. There are many attractions along the way: Xiangluo Slope, Shijiantai, Rentou Mountain, Horn Peak, Qianceng Cliff. Follow a clockwise circular route and finally return to Tanzikou, which is the entrance of the scenic area! Route 2, Dawan Kou Scenic Area: It is a branch route on the Tanzi Mouth Scenic Area. During the visit to Tanzi Mouth, you can see a fork in the road. The scenic area has obvious signs. Return the same way you came and the scenery is good! ⏳Recommended playtime: It's best to plan for a whole day, after all, it's mountain climbing! When we went, the weather was nice, the scenic area was full of features, we leisurely played for 6 hours, the mountain climbing was not tiring, the physical consumption was not great, and it was also very suitable for family fun! 🚉Recommended transportation: Due to the remote location of the scenic area from Yichang city, it is recommended to drive or charter a car to get there, which is the most convenient way! If you don't have a car, it is recommended to depart from Wufeng Town.
