Mount Wutai under the warm winter sun

Mount Wutai, located in the northeast of Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is now a national AAAAA tourist attraction, a national key scenic spot, a national geological park, a national natural and cultural dual heritage, one of the top ten famous mountains in China, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, and one of the five major Buddhist holy places in the world. Mount Wutai is located at 38°50' to 39°05' north latitude and 113°29' to 113°44' east longitude, with a total area of 2837 square kilometers. Centered on Taihuai Town, there are five peaks standing around the east, west, south, north, and middle. They are above the clouds, with no trees on the top of the mountain, like a platform of piled soil, called Wutai. The highest point, North Tai Yedou Peak, is 3058 meters above sea level and is known as the 'Roof of North China'. Mount Wutai is the dojo of Manjushri Bodhisattva and the only Buddhist dojo in China where green and yellow temples shine together. It is also a tourist scenic spot integrating natural scenery, historical relics, ancient architectural art, Buddhist culture, folk customs, and summer resort. There are 47 existing temples, 39 inside the platform and 8 outside, many of which were built by imperial edict and many emperors came to worship. Famous ones include: Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Bodhisattva Top, Nanshan Temple, Dailuo Top, Guangji Temple, Wanfo Pavilion, etc.
