It's incredibly charming, hidden in a fairy-tale town by the seaside of Xiamen

I've been back for a while now, but I still feel the need to write a special post for Portman because it really exceeded my expectations by a lot. The hotel is truly beautiful, with distinctive architecture and gardens. The trees are pruned into neat squares, round shapes, and even heart shapes, giving off an 'Alice in Wonderland' vibe. Yihai Town is also nice, but smaller than I imagined. I think it's better to stay at Rihai or Xihai, and just visit Yihai. Before checking in, they contacted me by phone to ask if I needed to add the butler's WeChat (I suggest everyone should add it, it enhances the experience). I booked a Rihai sea view room, and they upgraded us to a top-floor sea view room, which had an amazing view! I think the rooms at Rihai are very nice, with a French style, clean and refreshing, very grand, except for the smell of new furniture in the tea cabinet and drawers, everything else was really perfect. The hotel has several swimming pools and quite a lot of facilities for children, enough for a good walk with the kids! The breakfast was also good, the best of the three hotels I stayed at in Xiamen, and the breakfast restaurant also has a sea view. Qixing Amusement Park is just average, with a very small play area (ocean ball slide, trampoline) and it feels rather dark and worn out. After all, it's outside the island, so it takes at least half an hour to get to attractions and the city center, which is suitable for a pure vacation, otherwise, it's not very convenient. In summary: Highly recommended, comfortable for adults, and fun for kids to play.
