Peace in the countryside of Henan

#tripblazers #henan #china A hidden gem in my partner’s hometown is the Buddhist Temple in Yanling, Henan. During spring festival, the temple is heaving with visitors coming to pay their respects and bring in good luck for the new year. We however visited during the summer months, where it was open on a one-off. The female monks welcomed us in for a tour to see the buildings spanning a size greater than Jing’an temple in Shanghai! If you’re in the area, it is absolutely worth a visit! If you are looking to travel there, it is called the Amitabha Temple on Google maps and is in Zhangqiao town.
