Yixing | Unlock a Relaxing Weekend Getaway in the Bamboo Sea

Last weekend, I visited Yixing and checked in to the Suiyuangu Hotel, located next to the Bamboo Sea scenic area. As part of the Bamboo Sea International Conference Center, the hotel not only has its own public restaurant but also allows guests to use the conference center's fitness and hot spring facilities. During my stay, I could work out in the main building's gym, bathe in the open-air hot springs, and relax in the huge swimming pool surrounded by arched windows. From the main road entrance, I followed the stone path upwards, past the flowing water and rockery, and stood in front of the lobby, where I could overlook the entire hotel. The hotel has 87 guest rooms, including ten villa suites that offer independent rooms and Chinese or Japanese-style tea rooms. The hotel also has unique itinerary arrangements. In addition to pottery activities that reflect the local culture, they also offer occasional open-air movies or charcoal barbecues, ensuring a fulfilling stay. I stayed in the Forest View Hot Spring King Room, which included a complimentary first-round minibar and snack package. The minibar was equipped with both teacups and frosted coffee mugs, which was a trendy touch. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, a shower with a rain showerhead and toiletries, a smart toilet, and fresh flowers and customized amenities next to the sink. The king-size bed offered a choice of soft and firm pillows, and there was also a tea table in the room. Stepping onto the balcony, I could soak in the outdoor round bathtub while enjoying the distant view of the bamboo sea. As the sun set, the distant mountains and forests transformed from green to yellow, a unique spectacle. The next morning, the chirping of cicadas and birdsong woke me from my sleep. After enjoying the hotel breakfast amidst the swaying bamboo shadows in the morning sun, I continued my journey.
