|Experience the historical charm of the ancient city. Yongzhou is an old city with a rich historical background, not only leaving many historical relics, but also rich in historical atmosphere. I used to study in Yongzhou for a few years, the pace of life is slow and very human. I have always wanted to revisit the historical charm of Yongzhou, and coincidentally, a friend also wanted to experience the history of Yongzhou, so we agreed to go together for a 2-day and 1-night historical exploration trip in Yongzhou. 🗺️ Travel Route : Day 1: Yongzhou Station—Qiyang Wuxi Park—Liu Zi Temple—Liu Zi Street Day 2: Lingling Ancient City—Jiangyong Nvshu Garden—Return On the first day, after arriving at Yongzhou Station, I went directly to Qiyang Wuxi Park to explore the cliff texts that have a history of thousands of years. Following the tour guide in the scenic area to visit Wuxi Stele Forest, listening to the guide's explanation, I instantly traveled back to a thousand years ago, carefully appreciating these stone carvings left by celebrities of all ages. Wuxi Park is very large, not only beautiful scenery and deep historical background; the park has many open-air cliff carvings, including the essence of Wuxi Cliff, Tang Carving 'Great Tang Zhongxing Song' stele, a whole wall of stone carvings; there are 'Demon Mirror', 'Demon Suppression Charm', runes that can bring good luck, etc.; there is also this good scenery by the river, walking in Wuxi Stele Forest, every place is a good view. After the tour, I set off for Liu Zi Temple in Lingling Ancient City, which was built in the third year of Zhihe in the Northern Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the third year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, with a history of more than 900 years. There are three brick and wood structures in the temple, with a stage in front, a yongdao in the middle, and a rear hall from the yongdao. The temple has Liu Zongyuan's historical events, stone carvings rubbings and back garden, from the front hall to the back garden, quite charming. In the evening, I visited Liu Zi Street next to Liu Zi Temple. Liu Zi Street is 550 meters long, built in the Tang Dynasty, flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, was the official road in the ancient Xianggui thoroughfare, the street buildings are mostly Ming and Qing ancient buildings, now there are still well-preserved old buildings, but they have all become rental shops for ancient costumes and coffee shops, you can rent a set to take some ancient costumes here. On the second day, from Lingling Ancient City to Jiangyong Nvshu Garden, here is the only 'female text' found in human beings so far——Jiangyong Nvshu, which is a national intangible cultural heritage, composed of female characters, female songs, female red and its inherited folk customs, forming a rich and three-dimensional female book custom. Nvshu Garden is located on Puwei Island, known as 'Nvshu Resurrection Island', 15 kilometers away from Jiangyong County; surrounded by Xiaoshui on all sides, with beautiful scenery and simple folk customs, entering Nvshu Garden is like entering a peach blossom source, far away from the hustle and bustle and complexity of the world, only the beautiful scenery and rich historical atmosphere. Stepping into Nvshu Garden, we all became illiterate, those ant-like characters, although good-looking but difficult to understand, fortunately, there are local Nvshu teachers to guide us to visit, we visited the previous female life supplies and production tools, learned about local marriage customs and the exquisite female red made by women at that time, what impressed me most was the tool used by women to write Nvshu characters at that time, using sharpened branches and pot ash, created the world's greatest female text, it is indeed a world wonder, we also experienced a Nvshu text teaching class, quite meaningful. These days of travel really made me feel the deep historical background and rich historical and cultural atmosphere of Yongzhou, I think I can come to play many times, not only to appreciate the scenery of Yongzhou like a landscape painting, but also to appreciate the unique historical relics of Yongzhou: the cliff carvings that have been famous at home and abroad for thousands of years and the unique Nvshu culture in the world.
