Fozishan Scenic Spot, a famous historical site in Zhenghe!

Fozishan is located in Waitun Township, east of Zhenghe County, Nanping City, Fujian Province, at the northern end of the Jiu Feng Mountain Range. It is the junction of Fozishan and Jiu Feng Mountain, with the terrain stretching from northeast to southwest, and the land sloping from east to west. The average altitude in the area ranges from 390 to 1350 meters, with the main peak, Xian Ding Gang, reaching the highest altitude of 1363.1 meters. It has been included in the seventh batch of national scenic spots, with the southern boundary of the scenic area defined by the Chou Ling Peak ridge, extending north to Wang Lou Tian Dong Rock, east to Bai Lin Village, and west to the Qixing Creek flood control dam. The scenic area is a comprehensive 'mountain and canyon dominated' type, including five scenic spots: Fozishan Scenic Area, Chou Ling Scenic Area, Meizi Keng Scenic Area, Qixing Canyon Scenic Area, and Huang Ling Scenic Area. The geological relics in Fozishan Scenic Area are diverse and the geological environment is unique. It features towering peaks, massive collapse barrier lakes, complete volcanic revival profiles, and well-preserved remnants that are still on display today. There is a rare 178-meter-high Lion Peak, which is steep and majestic, reaching into the clouds with a lifelike appearance. It is surrounded by vast primary and secondary forests, with a beautiful natural environment, and the peak top is an excellent viewing platform. The iconic geological landscape of the scenic area, Fozishan Rock, is ingeniously crafted and lifelike, named for its resemblance to a Buddhist disciple in combination with the Couple Rock, surrounded by strange peaks and lush vegetation. In addition to the three main peaks mentioned above, there are 43 other famous peaks, rocks, and caves. Fozishan Scenic Area has unique and magically beautiful natural landscapes, with its abrupt and peculiar geological landscapes being unparalleled in East China. The scenic area's canyons, streams, waterfalls, pools, and lake landscapes are refreshing and invigorating. Among them, the Meizi Keng Waterfall, which is over a hundred meters high, gushes out from the top of a sheer cliff, resembling a long white chain or a hanging Milky Way, with the power to split clouds and break rocks, an unstoppable force and thunderous sound, fully displaying the imposing nature of the natural world. Qixing Creek runs through Fozishan Tourist Scenic Area, with a catchment area of 150 square kilometers, a large volume of water in the river, gentle flow, deep channels, and clear water quality.
