Context of Zhenjiang

After visiting the Zhenjiang Museum, you come out to the Xijindu Ancient Street, which is the "context" of the historical and cultural city of Zhenjiang. Xijindu Ancient Street was founded during the Six Dynasties period and has been developed through the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, preserving a large number of historical traces to this day. Climbing up the plank road, you will encounter Guanyin Cave, Zhao Guan Stone Pagoda, Life Saving Society, 'A Glimpse of a Thousand Years'... until you reach the Yuntai Pavilion at the mountain top. At the foot of the mountain is the antique street with its grey tiles and green bricks, historical buildings, former residences of famous people, dining delicacies, cultural creativity... and the 'Fifty-Three Stations' mural on the wall. The romantic sentiment in the poet's eyes, the perilous riverside in the warrior's eyes, the deep historical roots in the traveler's eyes... everyone sees a different Xijindu.
