Zhenyuan Ancient Town

Zhenyuan Ancient Town is located on the banks of the Wuyang River in Zhenyuan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is the political, economic, cultural center, transportation hub, and military stronghold in the eastern Guizhou area. It has always been known as the 'Key to Yunnan and Guizhou' and 'Throat to Guizhou', and has always been a 'Stronghold in Eastern Guizhou'. It is praised as the 'Maze in Guizhou'. Zhenyuan Ancient Town has a history of more than 2280 years since it was established as a county in the 30th year of King Zhao of Qin (277 BC). It has been the location of the Dao and Prefecture for more than 700 years during the Yuan and Qing Dynasties.
