1. Self-driving route and ticket information: It takes 2 hours to drive from Shenzhen to reach Yajishan in Shenwan, Zhongshan City. The hillside is planted with pineapples, and the entrance has a big sign saying 'Pineapple Mountain'. The hiking trail passes through rows of pineapple fields, and no admission ticket is required. 2. Mountain hiking: Not very difficult, but safety should be kept in mind. It takes about 1.5 hours to climb up the mountain. The first half an hour is an easy walk on a cement path with a gentle slope. The middle part is a stretch of sandy and gravelly path, where you need to be careful to avoid slipping. The last 100 meters are on a primitive stone mountain, with several spots requiring climbing with hands and feet, similar to the experience at Paiya Mountain in Shenzhen. Descending the mountain does not involve retracing the same path; it's a mix of dirt and cement paths, taking about 1 hour, with some sandy and gravelly downhill sections where you need to be careful to avoid slipping. 3. Tips for eating and shopping: There are many farmhouses at the foot of the mountain. We went to one that serves pigeon dishes, ordering tuber fleeceflower pigeon soup, salt-baked pigeon, braised squab, pigeon rice, and roast goose, costing about 90 yuan per person. Highly recommended and no tourist traps. We bought some pineapples to take home, but they were not ripe enough; it's better to wait for the ripe season to buy them.
