Strolling through the new streets, going to the Glass Box for coffee, a relaxing half-day

Fuxi Cultural Park in the new streets of Zigong used to be the site of the southwestern Sichuan mining area. Due to its historical background of the Third Front Movement, the industrial remains have been creatively transformed, making it a great place for Zigong citizens to relax. The 'Glass Box' is known as the city's reading room, a pure glass modern building that uses modern architectural language to engage in a strong dialogue with the old factory buildings, highlighting the sense of the era of the old factories and reminding people of Zigong's history of the Third Front Movement. This spring afternoon, my colleagues and I made an appointment to walk along the Fuxi River in the Cultural Park and go to the 'Glass Box' for coffee. It's been a long time since I've been here, and the new streets have changed a bit, with more restaurants and tea houses, some still under construction. The afternoon sun is warm on the skin. We strolled along the river, and when tired, sat on the iron chairs by the road to rest, recalling the fun times we had working together, back when we were all young. The 'Glass Box' is a must-visit. We ordered mochas and lattes, took out the freshly bought fruit, and each found a book we liked to read, spending a quiet and relaxing afternoon. When night falls, the Glass Box presents another scene, with neon lights changing unpredictably, just like the light show of the Fuxi River, stunning and surprising.
