Yugong Courtyard in Zhongtian Village, Zixing, Hunan

Built in the late Qing Dynasty, Yugong Courtyard spans approximately 50 meters in width and 20 meters in depth, covering a construction area of about 1,000 square meters. It consists of three two-story houses arranged in a row, featuring a hard hilltop roof and a brick-wood structure. The three main gates are all recessed-style, with stone pillars at the bottom and wooden pillars on stone bases on both sides. The door frames are wooden with stone lintels and thresholds. The halls are adorned with wooden screens, carved wooden doors and windows, and stone lattice windows on the exterior walls. Except for the central house, parts of the side houses have been partially damaged. In 2022, the courtyard walls and gatehouse were reconstructed, and a small number of villagers still reside here.
