How to Play in Surabaya, Indonesia for 4 Days and 3 Nights (With Bromo Itinerary)
A one-sentence summary: You will never be disappointed by the Bromo Volcano🌋
The volcano and waterfall tour in Surabaya, Indonesia is getting more and more popular.
I took some time off for a vacation and also did a round of special forces training (Fresh itinerary from early August)
⭐See the detailed 4-day and 3-night itinerary and accommodation arrangements in the picture⭐
👌🏻If you have any questions about the itinerary and attractions, see you in the comments section👌🏻
✨Key Points✨
1. The journey is long, mostly starting at dawn, if you can, please be sure to hire a car and a leader, as it's very tiring and you might not come a second time.
2. Climbing the mountain is the easiest part of the trip, but there is a lot of dust on the way, and without a mask, your nose will definitely be full of dust, as will your shoes.
3. The guide and leader are very important, directly determining the quality of the trip (more on this later).
4. If it's your first time, don't worry too much about the camera position, the guide will take you to places where you can take beautiful photos.
5. The cost for a 4-day and 3-night trip for two people is only about 1700 per person, and it's even cheaper with more people (we also asked to add a few less popular attractions, a good driver will help you consider the time to make sure you can visit them).
6. You'll need to go out to eat, buy fruit, rent clothes if it's cold, a trusted guide and driver can help you with all of this

Day4 ~Day5
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bali to your heart's content~!
Finally, I see you, Java Volcano
This is my fourth time in Indonesia, but my first time visiting this famous Java attraction, Bromo Volcano. I joined a group from Malang, waiting for the sunrise in the dark, the temperature was only 9 degrees, luckily I managed without adding a coat. Then we went on a somewhat experienced trek to the volcano crater, followed by the grasslands and the sand sea, which everyone ignored because they were too tired. Since we set off from Malang, we left the hotel in Malang city at 0:40. On the way back, we visited a place that some people call the 'small waterfall', the Rainbow Waterfall. The ticket price is very low, it's a bit like the main waterfall in the Tongling Grand Canyon in Guangxi that I visited in 2021, but the ticket prices of the two can't be compared.

This Resto Reminds me of IKEA
This is Kotask Kaffe Co. in Langsep Malang. Since it's a Swedish themed Cafe, I instantly think of IKEA 🤣 they even sell Swedish Meatball.
The place was nice, simple minimalist design with a bit of wood accent.
I tried banana smoothies with dates, called Power O'Nana. It was just okay. The lemon tea was good, black tea was strong enough, the lemon was not overly sour, and not too sweet.
I tried the Chicken Spinach Pie, tasted good but the pastry was hard to cut and chew :( My husband said the Javanese Fried Rice was nice.
Too bad we didn't try the coffee. Overall, it was a good time.
Wax figure and landscape museum in Malang
Experience landacape imitations that looks like the real deal and wax museums that will blow your mind!
If you are looking for an instagramable place to explore and have a walk, Visit the 3 Jatim Parks and you will get the chance to play in their theme parks, walk through their wide variety of wax figures as well as see their amazing Secret Zoo.
Once you are done, Taste the delicious local foods that are super affordable. Guarantee to be a great experience.

Cool Concept of Diorama Malang🌟
This is an F&B complex in Sulfat, Malang. It was like a foodcourt, but each counter in a different little building. A great place to hang out, especially with Malang's cool weather. There were many choices of foods and drinks, and many good instagrammable spots, too. I bet you'll like it here!

💕Delicious Foods and Drinks at Mier 💕
It was my first time trying Mier Dessert & Pattiserie in Malang. The place wasn't really big, because it was in a "ruko", but enough and comfy.
Drinks were all tasted good! The coffee was good, green tea blend was good and not too sweet, so was the strawberry drink. We ordered a croissant sandwich, and salad, and they were all great.
The service was also good. Although the price was pretty expensive, but it was worth the taste and portions.

tumpak sewu waterfall, A place to escape to unwind in the form of a waterfall landscape with the characteristic of having wide water like a curtain with a height of approximately 120 meters each#waterfall#2023travelwish#mytripvlog#urbanexplorer
Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is a waterfall with a height of about 120 meters. This waterfall is bordered by Lumajang Regency and Malang Regency, East Java Province.Tumpak Sewu Waterfall has a flow of water that resembles a curtain so it is included in the Tiered waterfall type. The location of this waterfall is in Sidomulyo Village, Pronojiwo District, Lumajang Regency.
TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL : LUMAJANG
Talking about natural beauty, Lumajang Regency is the place to be. In addition to having a country above the clouds, Lumajang Regency also has natural waterfalls whose beauty is not inferior to Niagara Falls in America. Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is the name. The popularity of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall as Niagara in East Java is not without reason. The wide flow of this waterfall reminds people of Niagara Waterfall. The location of these two waterfalls is also on the border. The difference is, Niagara is on the border between the United States and Canada. However, judging from the water discharge, it is very different. The beauty of the very beautiful Tumpak Sewu Waterfall invites both domestic and foreign tourists who want to see the Indonesian version of Niagara Falls firsthand. With so many tourists coming, the Lumajang Police also always comes to the location to provide a sense of security and calm for tourists. Lumajang Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Muhammad Arsal Sabhan said, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is indeed very stunning in its beauty. No wonder so many tourists come. He also said that he would help make the Tumpak Sewu or Niagara tourism object of Indonesia always safe and conducive. Not only that, he will also help so that the Tumpak Sewu tourist attraction can be increasingly known both locally and abroad. Tumpak Sewu Waterfall or also called Coban Sewu is a waterfall with a height of about 120 meters which is the most beautiful waterfall on the islands of Java and Indonesia. Tumpak Sewu Waterfall has a unique formation because it has a water flow that widens like a curtain so it is included in the Tiered waterfall type. The location of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is in a steep valley with an elevation of 500 meters above sea level. Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is formed in the flow of the Glidih River which has its head on Mount Semeru.

Spectacular Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
People often go to Tumpak Sewu, and just see The Waterfall from View Point at abobe.
Don’t stay at the overlook too long, because you still have to see the waterfall from below! The best lighting for this is early in the morning before the sun gets high, otherwise taking the right photos can be more of a challenge.
Head down the path for about 20 minutes to reach the bottom of the ravine. The path is mostly bamboo steps with bamboo railings, and it’s a little sketchy in spots, but nothing too terrible. Just proceed carefully.
Once you reach the bottom of the ravine, you’re only a 5-10 minute walk away from the main event. The towering walls on either side of the ravine let you know how tiny you are, and how epic things are about to get.
There’s one shallow stream to cross, with a small bridge covering part of it. Cross the bridge, round the corner, and prepare to have your mind blown by the epic sight! This is when the scale hits you for the first time and you can’t help but feel ant-like.
There are a lot of good photo spots next to the waterfall, but be aware that the rocks are very slippery and any electronics you bring within 100 yards of the falls WILL get soaked.
I’d recommend bringing a dry bag to keep your camera, drone, or other electronics safe between photo sessions here.
Enjoy and be safe!

Kawah Ijen Volcano Indonesia Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Indonesia’s iconic Sulfur Crater
Have you been to Ijen, located near Surabaya Indonesia? The big star of the show here is the AMAZING blue fire that glows bright in the dark. Too bad I couldn’t capture it in camera but it’s such a cool sight! It comes from the sulfur gases escaping from the volcano. You might need to wake up super early to catch this dazzling sight, but trust me, it's worth it!
When the sun rises, the views get even more breathtaking. You can see a stunning turquoise lake nestled in the crater of the volcano. And don't forget about the hardworking sulfur miners who brave the tough conditions to collect sulfur from the crater.
Ijen is a magical place full of wonder and adventure, perfect for anyone who loves nature and exciting experiences!

Hong Kong is a destination with culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong to view the skyline from Victoria Peak, take in the view from ICC, visit the fishing village of Tai O and...so much more!
Beware the Blue Fire!
Kawah IJEN is a unique volcano in East Java, Indonesia. Its claim to fame is its gorgeous blue fire, but also its acidic crater lake, and the labour-intensive sulphur mining that takes place there, which is an eye-opener. The climb up Mount Ijen is in itself a torture, but the view at the top is priceless! A stunning aquamarine crater that sputters every now and again! But beware! This beauty emanates toxic gas!

Beautiful Mountain Crater @ Java
Indonesia is full of beautiful places. Java island have many mountains, beaches, and nature park. Banyuwangi has beautiful mountain crater that is called "kawah ijen".
Me and my friends specially came to this city to enjoy the beauty of kawah ijen. To get here is not that easy, we must go by flight to Jakarta and transfer to Banyuwangi. Took around 1hour drive from airport.
Although it's super cold, but we are fully prepared. When it get dark, we move to our glamping site where we stay at. We chose kunang kunang tent resort for overnight stay. It was very nice adventure and enough for 3D2N.

Mount Bromo🌋: Indonesia’s Volcanic Beauty
Indonesia🇮🇩 not only boasts beautiful beaches and a romantic atmosphere, but also harbors an extreme adventure secret – volcano climbing! 🌋 Mount Bromo, a place featured as Indonesia's cover by Lonely Planet🌍, is known for its beauty, but witnessing it in person is truly awe-inspiring.
📍Lonely Planet's Mount Bromo🌋
An active volcano in East Java, Indonesia, the rumbling depths of the volcano instill a sense of awe. At sunrise, the dreamlike, smoky volcano crater is illuminated by golden sunlight. It feels like stepping onto the moon, marking the beginning of a life-changing journey. 🌄
🧗♀️Climbing Guide
▪️ Difficulty: 🌟🌟🌟
▪️ Depart at 2:30 am and take a Jeep ride. 🚙
▪️ Arrive near the viewpoint at 4 am, then a 20-minute hike to the summit viewpoint. 🏔️
▪️ Rest from 4:30-5:00 am, find a good spot; sunrise at 4:30, with the best lighting at 5:00! ☀️
▪️ Descend at 6:00 am, capture photos with the Jeep on the grassy terrain (confirm the Jeep's color and appearance the day before to stand out in your photos). 📸
❗️🌋 Important Tips!!!
1⃣️ Dress warmly with layers! The mountaintop before sunrise is very cold. For those wanting great photos, consider a "layered" outfit, so you can remove outerwear easily for photos. 🧥❄️
2⃣️ Wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes as the volcanic ash can be slippery, and some paths are steep. 👞🌋
3⃣️ Wear an N95 mask at Mount Bromo to protect against the huge dust. 😷
4⃣️ Practice your poses for photos the day before. Otherwise, you might freeze up on the spot, especially with a crowd watching, causing stiffness and nervousness. 📷😅
5⃣️ Bring a drone if you have one; aerial shots are truly breathtaking! 🚁
Mt. Bromo, East Java
#wecreate
Mount Bromo in East Java, Indonesia, is a captivating natural attraction. Its main draw is the awe-inspiring sunrise, where visitors can witness a stunning panorama of volcanic landscapes from the Penanjakan viewpoint. The sight of the sunrise casting vibrant colors over the surrounding peaks is a truly breathtaking experience. Another highlight is the volcanic crater, which can be reached by trekking across a vast expanse of sand. The smoking crater against the backdrop of majestic mountains creates a surreal and memorable scene.

The sacredness of Mount Bromo
Mount Bromo is a Sacred Place, There Are Prohibitions That Must Be Followed Mount Bromo is not just a tourist spot. For the Tengger people, Mount Bromo is a sacred place related to their ancestors. The story of the sacredness of Mount Bromo is associated with the legend of Joko Seger and Roro Anteng. Until now, the people of Tengger believe that no one is allowed to do bad things in Bromo. Especially in the area of the sea of sand and sacred craters. According to the traditional leader of the Tengger Probolinggo tribe, the sacredness of Mount Bromo can be seen from the number of steps leading to the crater whose whereabouts are not known. Every tourist who comes there and counts the number of steps, the results will be different. They also explained the possibility that because of the terrain and remote location, tourists are not focused. But he also doesn't believe that this is part of Bromo's sacredness. Therefore, tourists who come and go up to Bromo Crater must pay attention to the prohibitions set by Tengger Bromo residents. These include the prohibition against urinating facing Mount Bromo, throwing stones into the crater, and taking things from around Bromo to take home.#mountainview #spooktaculartrip

Smokey Bromo
One of the more popular and still active volcanoes in Indonesia is Mount Bromo. I had the chance to see the majestic creation in 2014.
We were on a tour package as it saves so much time and effort, and it isn’t that expensive. Plus driving your own vehicle into the volcano area is not allowed.
The journey started with a sunset view at King Kong Hill where we oversee Gunung Batok. Then we were driven to Segara Wedi and we had to walk around 250 steps up to the crater. Some can opt to ride a horse but it wont bring you near the volcano mouth.
Once you get to the top of the crater rim, you get a clearer and full view directly into the crater! Although it is cool to be near the crater with smokes coming out from it, please be extra careful since there are no fences or barriers to keep you from
not falling into the crater.
