In October that year, we took several transfers by minibus from Kaifeng to Chenqiao station. Along the rural roads, freshly harvested corn lined both sides, golden and vast, stretching as far as the eye could see, full of the rich and lively atmosphere of autumn harvest. In ancient times, this was a key northeastern route of Kaifeng. Today, it belongs to Chenqiao town in Fengqiu County, Xinxiang, across the Yellow River, facing the old city of Bianliang from afar. . As early as the Five Dynasties period, this was the official northern courier station of the capital, named after local Chen family neighbors who funded the bridge construction. In 960 AD, when the young ruler of the Later Zhou dynasty ascended the throne, urgent news of an enemy invasion arrived from the border. Zhao Kuangyin led his army north and camped at Chenqiao station that night.
