I visited the North Terminal No1 Lounge early in the morning from 6:00 to 8:00 am, and due to high demand there was nearly a two-hour wait, which clearly shows that pre-booking is highly recommended. Without a reservation, entry can be delayed during busy periods. The North Terminal lounge operates from 4:00 am to 8:00 pm, while the South Terminal No1 Lounge is open from 4:00 am to 9:00 pm, with lounges available in both terminals. Access costs £6 per person with lounge memberships like Priority Pass. For non-members, prices are £38 per adult and £22 per child. The breakfast spread was generous and enjoyable. It included an English breakfast with hash browns, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, along with pancakes, cereals, yogurt with honey and syrups, and other options. We spent the day at OPSO, and it turned out to be one of those long, bright, heart-warming London days that just feel right. 📍 OPSO 10 Paddington St, London W1U 5QL ⸻ ❶ Lobster Roll ⭐️ Big, bouncy chunks of lobster — already a win. The brioche was crisp on the outside, soft inside, and I manually added truffle scrambled eggs because… why not? A perfect combo. ❷ Open Lamb Pitta Cumin-spiced roasted lamb with a generous portion. Flavorful and satisfying. ❸ Truffled Strapatsada Black truffle scrambled eggs served with sourdough. Simple ingredients done right — rich, buttery, comforting. ❹ Charred Broccoli Because balance. Fluffy scrambled eggs cooked with butter and melted cheese, a thick layer of truffle mushroom paste, all tucked inside buttery grilled brioche. Rich, aromatic, creamy — the truffle spread is a bit salty, but overall incredible. Highly recommend! 🍞 Bacon Egg Cheese — ⭐⭐ Same brioche base but with a runny egg and seared bacon. The egg was great, but the bacon was too hard and too salty for me. Wouldn’t recommend this one. 🍞 Truffle Hashbrowns — ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crispy, not greasy, very enjoyable. Only downside: couldn’t really taste much truffle. ⸻ 📌 All of their sandwiches use butter-grilled brioche, which is soft, fragrant, and so comforting. Over the years, I’ve watched their business grow and the crowds get bigger, yet the flavours stayed consistently great. Whenever I don’t know what to eat, I somehow end up wandering back to Soho and dining here again! ⸻ ✨ Padrón Peppers Charred peppers sprinkled with sea salt — the most classic tapas starter. Sweet, smoky, simple, and occasionally you’ll bite into a spicy one… which is part of the fun 😂 ✨ Croquetas Crispy cheese croquettes, mixed with potato and ham inside. Creamy, flavourful, and not greasy at all. One of my favourite starters every time. ✨ Prawns in Garlic Big juicy prawns with delicious prawn roe. So fragrant when dipped into the sizzling garlic oil — absolutely addictive. ✨ Grilled Octopus Leg One of my must-order dishes! The octopus here is huge, tender, and bouncy. Served with extra-sweet roasted sweet potatoes — the skin is grilled until crispy and so good. The romesco sauce + alioli + a squeeze of fresh lemon bring out the best flavour of the octopus. They even give a charred lemon on the side for more smoky acidity. Perfect combo 🐙 ✨ Iberico Pork Selection ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My top recommendation for Iberico pork lovers! Since we were already in North London today, we grabbed the chance to try it out. 📍 Kami 260 Kentish Town Rd, London NW5 2AA 🍣 Salmon Ikura Don Thick-cut salmon sashimi, a generous scoop of salmon roe, and a huge bowl of sushi rice—pure heaven for salmon lovers. The ikura is already salty, so I didn’t add any sauce, just a tiny bit of wasabi. You get the full freshness and buttery flavour of the salmon. So satisfying! 🍛 Chicken Katsu Curry Don Super huge portion! Even the three guys sitting next to us each ordered one. For £12, this is easily the value-for-money champion. Since you can’t go for Japanese food without having sushi, we tried their Unagi Cucumber Maki and Spicy Salmon Maki—both were so tasty 😋 My friend’s favourite was the Wagyu Tempura Roll. The torched wagyu + crispy shrimp tempura was such a perfect combo. The sauce had a light truffle aroma (not too strong), and the cucumber helped balance it out nicely.
