In 1992, the Anhui Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology cleared and excavated the ruins of Laojun Hall, and found more than 10 building foundations from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties, and unearthed thousands of various cultural relics from the Han to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In May 1998, the ruins of Laojun Hall were listed as a key cultural relics protection unit by the People's Government of Anhui Province.
