Gurugram travel guide and discussion

🇮🇳From February 28th to March 2nd, I went on a girls' trip to India using Trip.com, where I purchased accommodation and travel vouchers✨ As it was my first time in India, I encountered many confusing situations and minor troubles, so I'd like to share them🫶🏻 📍The flight was a direct flight with JAL ▶︎The flight was very comfortable and wonderful♪ 📍The hotel was the Hyatt Regency Gurugram ▶︎The hotel itself was great, and even had a bathtub! ⭐︎Rice isn't included, but since there aren't any convenience stores or places to grab a snack nearby, I recommend adding breakfast 🥞 (because it's dangerous to go out late at night). On our last morning, we added the buffet, and they even surprised us with a cake, which made for a wonderful memory 🍰 🌀Recommended nearby spots: ⭐︎Sodhi's Supermarket सोढ़ी'स सुपरमार्केट (Supermarket) ▶︎Perfect for buying souvenirs. ⭐︎Easy Basket Supermarket ईजी बास्केट सुपरमार्केट (Safe shopping until late at night) ▶︎Like a shopping mall? You can shop even at night. ⚠️However, since it takes a little over an hour by car from New Delhi, this hotel is not recommended for those who prefer to be closer to the city center. 🇮🇳This was my first visit to India, and I found many people to be friendly and kind, especially those who are fond of Japan. Japanese people seemed to be a rare sight, and I was often asked for photos, lol. 〈Points to Note〉 ①I applied for an e-visa when leaving the country, but I was so satisfied with just that that I didn't print it out. Everyone else had printed theirs out, so be sure to print it out! 🉐 It will make things much smoother. ②After leaving the country, my luggage was taken off the rails without my permission, and I had a hard time finding it. It's a good idea to attach a clearly identifiable strap. ③Uber is a must for taxis. It helps avoid being ripped off. ④It takes over 5 hours from the plane to the Taj Mahal, so it's a test of endurance! I recommend booking a tour in advance. ▶︎Tour operators are friendly, but they'll try to sell you expensive things, so be sure to clearly say "No❌". Don't let them take advantage of you!! ️ ▶︎Souvenirs are expensive in tourist areas, so I recommend buying them in Delhi. 〈Recommended SPOT〉 ⭐︎Happy Hunter Tea Boutique & Tea Salon (Indian Tea Specialty Shop) ▶︎A tea shop recommended for souvenirs. They offer many tea samples. It's located near the Red Fort. It's within walking distance. (There are many stalls around, so walking is quite difficult, about 20 minutes.) ⭐︎LoCol by Subko लोकल बाय सबको ▶︎Coffee shop It's expensive for India, but it makes a great souvenir! The location is hard to find, and it's dangerous to go there at night. ⭐︎Devan's South Indian Coffee and Tea pvt ltd देवन'स साउथ इंडियन कॉफी एंड टी पीवीटी एलटीडी ▶︎Traditional coffee shop The beans were quite cheap, so I bought about 1 kg. Approximately 450 yen per 100 grams ☕️ #India #IndiaTourism #IndiaTravel #Tourism #GirlsTrip #OverseasTravel #UniversityStudentTravel #UniversityStudentTrip #AsiaTravel

Amber Palace Hotel ,Gurugram : An unforgettable experience with warm hospitality, comfortable stay and wonderful dining During my recent trip to India, I stayed at Amber Palace Hotel, Gurugram, and it was a wonderful experience that I would happily recommend to everyone The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Gurugram, around 15 km from Delhi International Airport, making it ideal after a long international journey. Whether you are visiting India for business or leisure, this hotel offers comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. Amber Palace is part of a China-based Indian premium restaurant group, with presence across several Chinese cities. This connection is clearly reflected in the hotel’s design and operations. From the moment you enter, you will notice Chinese-inspired interiors, signage in both Chinese and English, and a very welcoming environment. The presence of Chinese-speaking staff makes communication easy and adds great comfort for Chinese guests. The check-in was smooth, and the room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The bed was soft, the room was fully equipped with modern amenities, high-speed Wi-Fi, and everything felt thoughtfully arranged for international travellers. A highlight of my stay was the rooftop garden restaurant, Amber Wall. The ambience is relaxed and elegant, perfect for dinner. The restaurant serves authentic Chinese cuisine, along with modern Indian and international dishes. I highly recommend Cumin Mutton, Kung Pao Chicken, Mapo Tofu, and Sichuan Noodles—all were flavorful and truly authentic. We also enjoyed the local specialty Gurugram-style Chicken Tikka. Every dish was excellent, and it was nice to see many Chinese guests dining here, which speaks for itself. The service throughout the hotel was warm and professional, and the staff was always helpful. The hotel also offers conference rooms and banquet facilities, making it a good option for business travellers and corporate events. Overall, Amber Palace Hotel feels like a perfect destination for foreign travellers, especially from China—familiar, comfortable, and welcoming. If you are planning a trip to Gurugram or Delhi, this hotel is definitely worth considering#travel #travel #beachlife #businesstrip

#Ho-kangs Address: Sector 26 M.G. Road, Gurgaon Delhi, Border, Gurugram, Haryana 122002 India This is Le Meridien Hotel in Gurgaon, Delhi, India. It is a 5-star hotel, so the service is great and it has a modern feel overall. The location is also close to several malls, so I was satisfied! There is a small bar in the corner of the lobby, and the pool was bigger than I thought. I wanted to jump into the water in the 45 degree heat, but it was so hot that I just turned on the air conditioner in my room and lay down. LOL I recommend Le Meridien, a clean accommodation for a staycation on your trip to Delhi. #India travel #Gurgaon #Delhi hotel #Delhi #Delhi hotel recommendation

#cityplaybook #india #Gurugram Cyberhub is an excellent place in Gurugram city to relax, have dinner, go shopping or just spend an hour or two. And it is very local, I suggest another foreigner there during my two visits. Tip: most of the restaurants are closed until 11 AM, so keep that in mind if you’d like to go there in the morning. There are quite a few stores and tons of restaurants and coffee shops. Prices vary as there are some common chain restaurants and as well some upscale, more expensive venues. It is pleasantly quiet, you won’t hear any beeping from the streets, which was a big plus after a day in a loud city.

Gurubram is much newer, nicer and quieter to stay than Delhi. If you need to chill for a day before catching your flight - I recommend staying in Gurugram rather than New Delhi. 📅 Itinerary Day1: 1 Chill at the hotel in a quiet neighborhood and forget about noise of Indian streets. 2 Walk around and check one of local supermarkets (the biggest is Sodhi’s Super Market, Southcity, Sector 41 and it has quite a few options to grab as sweet souvenirs or even saffron). 3 Clearly a siesta at the hotel to avoid extreme heat. 4 Head to Cyber Hub for some shopping and a dinner. Place is upscale middle class, lots of food options on mid-upscale budget. 🏨 Accommodation Hotel Millenium Elite 🍴 Food Recommendations any Indian restaurant at Cyber hub 📌 Tips 1 restaurants at Cyber hub open late, not many options before 11am. 2 Uber may take long time to arrive due to low availability of cars around, so it is best to prebook it for your trip to the airport.

I recently went on a spontaneous trip and discovered a place that looks like a fairyland - Karma Chalets. The experience was so beautiful that I have to share it with you! 🌳 I was immediately captivated by the unique charm of Karma Chalets. The chalets are hidden in lush mountains and surrounded by dense trees. The air is filled with the fresh scent of grass and wood, as if it were a world straight out of a fairytale. Each chalet retains the original color and texture of the wood, blending perfectly with the surrounding natural environment. Sunlight filters through the leaves and falls on the chalets, creating a dappled light and shadow effect that creates a tranquil and mysterious atmosphere. 🏠 The interior of the chalets is warm and cozy. Wooden furniture, soft beds, and warm lighting make you feel at home. The rooms are fully equipped, and although they don't have the luxury of a five-star hotel, they are full of rustic and natural charm. Through the windows, you can see the beautiful mountain scenery outside. In the morning, you wake up to the sound of birds singing, open the window, and are greeted by fresh air and a beautiful sunrise. It's a wonderful feeling! 🍽 At Karma Chalets, you can also enjoy a variety of delicious food. The restaurant uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are healthy and delicious. Breakfast includes homemade bread, jam, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot coffee to start your day full of energy. Lunch and dinner feature local specialties that are delicious and memorable. Sitting in the restaurant, enjoying the food and the view outside the window, is one of the best moments in life! 🎈 Karma Chalets also offers a variety of entertainment activities. During the day, you can hike in the mountains and explore the mysteries of nature. You can also participate in outdoor activities such as archery and fishing for a different kind of fun. You can also quietly read or paint in the chalet and enjoy a leisurely time. In the evening, you can sit around the campfire, listen to music, sing songs, and share travel stories with friends from all over the world, feeling the warmth and joy of the campfire. 💁‍♀️ The staff here are also very warm and friendly. They care about the needs of every guest and provide thoughtful service. Whether it's checking in or encountering problems during your stay, they will solve them for you as soon as possible, making you feel at home. Karma Chalets is a place you won't want to leave. Here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and return to the embrace of nature, enjoying a peaceful and beautiful time. If you're looking for a place to relax your body and mind, don't miss Karma Chalets! Trust me, once you come here, you'll fall in love with it!

I recently went to Gurgaon and stayed at an amazing hotel - Trident Gurgaon. I had such a great experience that I had to share it with you all! 🌆 I was immediately attracted by the hotel's unique appearance. The architectural style combines modern simplicity with traditional Indian elements, which is grand yet exquisite. When I entered the lobby, the spacious and bright space with artistic decorations instantly put me in a good mood. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and efficient. When I checked in, they thoughtfully introduced the hotel's facilities and nearby attractions. Full marks for service! 🛏 I was pleasantly surprised by the room layout. I stayed in a deluxe king room, which was very spacious. The decor was simple and cozy, and the color scheme was comfortable and pleasant. The bed was soft and clean, and the bedding was of great quality. I didn't want to get up once I lay down. The room was fully equipped, with a TV, air conditioning, and stable Wi-Fi. There was also a mini bar with various snacks and drinks, which was very thoughtful. When I opened the curtains, I could see the beautiful city view through the large window. During the day, the sunlight filled the room with warmth. 🍽 The hotel's dining was also excellent! There were a variety of restaurants, including a buffet restaurant offering international cuisine and a restaurant specializing in Indian dishes. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, including Western bread, bacon, and eggs, as well as local Indian snacks like samosas and parathas, all of which were delicious! For dinner, I tried their signature Indian dishes. The rich spice flavors and unique cooking methods made every bite unforgettable. The restaurant environment was elegant, and the staff were enthusiastic and attentive. The dining experience was excellent. 💪 The hotel also had great leisure facilities. The gym was equipped with various advanced fitness equipment to meet the needs of different guests. The swimming pool had clear water, and there were comfortable loungers and umbrellas around it. Swimming or sunbathing here was very enjoyable. In addition, the hotel had a spa center offering various massage and treatment services. I tried a Thai massage, and the masseuse was professional and applied the right amount of pressure. I felt completely relaxed and refreshed afterward. 📍 Trident Gurgaon is in a great location with convenient transportation. It is close to shopping centers and popular attractions, making it very convenient to get around. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this is a great choice. My stay at Trident Gurgaon was amazing! If you're planning to visit Gurgaon, I highly recommend this hotel! Trust me, you'll fall in love with it after staying here!

New Delhi has a subway system that India's most advanced city, Mumbai, does not have! It's hard to get around in Mumbai, but the subway in New Delhi is smooth, and best of all, you don't have to negotiate the price with the autorickshaw driver. What's more, the inside of the car is clean and empty. It feels like you're on the Japanese subway. The exterior of Huda City Centre station, the last stop on the Yellow Line, is designed like a Japanese station, and there's even a Starbucks. It makes you feel like you're in India! Gurgaon has many shopping malls, making it an interesting city where you can experience something outside of India.

One of my most memorable hotel stays in India. From Ms. Janvi at the reception to the café, housekeeping, and service teams, everyone was polite, proactive, and genuinely caring. What truly stood out during my extended stay was the personal touch—café staff remembered my favourite drinks and offered them on subsequent days without any prompting! The team frequently checked on my comfort, addressed feedback promptly, arranged a complimentary dinner, and ensured smooth check-out and airport transfer. This level of hospitality is truly exceptional: personal, proactive, and heartfelt. Thank you, Lemon Tree Hotel, Aerocity. I'll certainly return. See you soon! 🙏

Every time we go to India we feel this perfect combination, smart cities where we can enjoy amenities such as: 🌆 24/7 security, swimming pools, private buildings lit every night, gym and houses with modern amenities. 🌳 And then we have the gardens that these smart cities have, which gives us that clean air we look for on our trips. Gardens with local flowers, parks full of life, decorated to feel unique in a place as crowded as India. Locations of these places in New Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. Important information: they are not tourist sites, but residential, staying here is respecting its citizens, enjoying luxury and elegance with people who have a high purchasing power. It is ideal for those of us who do slow travel. Do you stay in places like that? #citybreakvsnatureescape

I’m Minaxi, and I was initially unsure where to stay in Gurgaon. I had stayed at Westin Gurgaon a month earlier but wanted to try a different property since I enjoy exploring good hotels and resorts. Based on a recommendation from my senior, Sanjay ji, who’s a member here, I chose this hotel. I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing staff here. Being part of the same industry—formerly an air hostess and now back to modeling after many years—I enjoy traveling and meeting wonderful people. What impressed me most about this place was the greenery, tidiness, no lifts, and especially the stunning swimming pool surrounded by lush green plants. I spent over two hours there, enjoying the serene ambiance with trees and even a peacock nearby—it was such a divine and much-needed experience. Another highlight was the food and beverage staff. Sumit, Mahendra ji, Sumeet, Vijay, Rozim, and Anusmita were incredibly welcoming. Among them, Sumit stood out, taking special care of me as I was feeling low and tired. He thoughtfully provided warm water with lemon and honey and helped me with fruits to suit my intermittent fasting. Sumit, with his kind soul and spark in his eyes, deserves recognition and support from the management as an asset to the team. He’s from Manipur and has the potential to significantly contribute to the company’s progress. The reception also felt alive with Majid, who has a warm personality. On September 13th, when I was feeling ill with rashes, fever, and fatigue, I needed assistance. Sourabh, an employee at the reception, kindly granted me a 2-hour extension for departure, which made me feel much better and enjoy my day. Sourabh’s support was a blessing, helping me recover and feel uplifted. Thanks to the owner and everyone associated with the hotel for creating such a wonderful experience. May you continue to flourish daily. I’ll surely revisit soon with my family and friends, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to my loved ones. Thank you! 🙏

Asia‘s pools are an unending source of awe and wonder, each a marvel of exotic design, adorned with breathtaking decorations, and harmoniously intertwined with nature‘s embrace. This year, my journeys have led me to discover some truly extraordinary aquatic sanctuaries, and I simply couldn‘t resist sharing my absolute favorites with you all! 🤩 Each one possesses its own distinct charm, ranging from the invigorating saltiness of a seaside retreat to the refreshing sweetness of a freshwater oasis, and even a unique pool fed by the gentle seep of rainwater. Regardless of their individual characteristics, every single one has played a pivotal role in maintaining my physical well-being and fostering a profound sense of serenity. 🙏 Let‘s dive right into this curated selection of my most cherished aquatic escapes! 🏊♀️ (I put them in order in the photos) 1. Java Seafront Pool in Jakarta, Indonesia: Imagine yourself enveloped by the tranquil expanse of the Java Sea, the gentle lapping of waves creating a soothing soundtrack to your dip. This pool, seamlessly blending with the horizon, offers an unparalleled experience of oceanic immersion. The scent of the sea air invigorates your senses, while the panoramic views of the coastline stretch endlessly before you. It‘s not just a pool; it‘s a gateway to the vast, mesmerizing beauty of the Indonesian archipelago. The water here, kissed by the sea, carries a subtle salinity that leaves your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, a true testament to its natural connection. 💙 2. Pool Facing I-City Theme Park: Prepare to be dazzled by a vibrant spectacle as you float in this incredible pool, directly overlooking the fantastical I-City Theme Park. As dusk descends, the park erupts in a kaleidoscope of dazzling lights, transforming into a neon wonderland that provides a truly magical backdrop to your swim. The energy of the theme park, combined with the cool embrace of the water, creates an exhilarating yet relaxing experience. It‘s a place where childhood dreams and adult relaxation converge, offering a unique blend of excitement and tranquility. The water, a fresh and sweet contrast to the salty sea, feels like a liquid embrace. ✨ 3. Olympic Pool in Gurugram, India: For those who appreciate the grandeur of scale and the discipline of sport, the Olympic-sized pool in Gurugram is an absolute must-see. Its impressive dimensions and pristine waters invite you to engage in serious laps or simply revel in the expansive freedom it offers. Surrounded by the vibrant energy of Gurugram, this pool is a haven for fitness enthusiasts and anyone seeking a refreshing escape from the urban bustle. The sheer size of it inspires a sense of accomplishment, even if you‘re just enjoying a leisurely paddle. This freshwater giant offers a pure, unadulterated swimming experience. 🏅 4. Ecological Pool in Ecopark, Hanoi, Vietnam: Step into a realm where sustainability meets sublime relaxation at the ecological pool within Ecopark, Hanoi. This innovative pool system harmoniously integrates with its natural surroundings, utilizing environmentally friendly filtration methods that allow you to connect with nature on a deeper level. The lush greenery and thoughtfully designed landscape create a serene environment, making it a perfect sanctuary for introspection and rejuvenation. It‘s a beautiful example of how human design can coexist and enhance the natural world. The water here, often fed by the gentle rain, feels incredibly soft and pure against the skin, a true gift from nature. 🌿 5. Natural Rock Pools in Guangzhou: My final, but certainly not least, favorite comprises the captivating natural rock pools nestled in Guangzhou. These aren‘t your typical man-made structures; they are magnificent formations carved by nature‘s own hand, offering an organic and rustic swimming experience. The raw beauty of the rock formations, juxtaposed with the crystal-clear water, creates a picturesque setting that feels both ancient and invigorating. Each pool, with its unique shape and depth, invites exploration and a deep connection to the earth. The water in these natural wonders varies, sometimes a refreshing sweetness, sometimes infused with the subtle minerals of the rocks, making every dip a unique adventure. 🏞️ Now tell me, do you like to go to swimming pools on your vacation? I hope this little tour inspires you to discover your own aquatic havens! 💧 #infinitypool #poolhotel #travel2026

I had a fantastic experience at Leela Ambience. The hospitality, comfort, and overall service were truly outstanding. A special shoutout to Anu and Raghav, who went the extra mile to ensure my stay was unforgettable. They were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out, showcasing the hotel's high standards. I deeply appreciated their support during my stay. Thank you, Anu and Raghav, for your excellent service. I can’t wait to return.

If you're searching for an exceptional place to get creamy almonds, premium nuts, and delicious dates, Bella Nuts is the perfect choice for you. Their sample packages are not only beautifully packed but also include Aarti, making them ideal travel-friendly souvenirs and gifts. What impressed me the most is how Bella Nuts offers a complete solution for all dry fruits, dates, and bhaji needs under one roof. What truly elevates this shop is the staff—they are caring, knowledgeable, and provide the best recommendations. Be sure not to miss out on this incredible gem in India. Their masala bhuna chana and masala cashews (kaju) are excellent, and the Ajwa Khajur is also outstanding. These days, I order their dry fruits and dates from Dubai and the UK for my daily consumption. I'll definitely be placing corporate gifting orders for my firm in Noida and Gurgaon in the future.

We had a wonderful time as a family in a stunning park that felt truly intimate, featuring majestic elephants. The staff was delightful and very friendly, and we even had the chance to enjoy a drink and some fruit alongside the elephants. It was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

The waterpark is large with plenty of entertainment options for kids, and slides suitable for all ages. Everything is very beautiful. There's a food zone within the waterpark, which pleasantly surprised us as part of the hotel complex. Our only request would be for the mini carts to drop off passengers closer. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Many thanks to the staff, especially Mohammed, for ensuring our comfort! 👍

I travel extensively and have stayed at many top-notch hotels globally, but The Oberoi stands out with its extraordinary hospitality. Over the past three years, I’ve stayed at The Oberoi in Chandigarh, Gurgaon, and Mumbai, and every visit surpasses the last. This time, it was the attention to the little details that truly amazed me. For instance, the housekeeping staff not only cleaned but even organized and tied up all my wires! They surprised me with flowers and a cake for my birthday, and the car service took me to enjoy street-food chai and parantha, which I absolutely loved. The morning yoga session with a fantastic instructor was such a great way to start the day. I was also deeply moved by the sound healing space where the stunning gong caught my attention, especially as I’ve been playing the gong myself for years. The spa was incredible, and I thoroughly enjoyed the gym, where the trainer took the time to walk me through the equipment and explain everything—something I really appreciated. Breakfast was a highlight, absolutely delicious, and I couldn’t get enough of the breakfast buffets! The Residents’ Lounge offered delightful food, and the live music in the evenings added an elegant ambiance. My room was stunning and exceptionally comfortable, complete with a luxurious bathtub, a fancy toilet, a well-stocked minibar, and the lovely Forest Essentials toiletries. However, what truly sets The Oberoi apart is its remarkable staff. Their kindness, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine respect radiate through every member of the team. It’s clear that everyone contributes to the guest experience. I’ve now made up my mind—if I’m traveling in India and there’s an Oberoi, that’s where I’m staying. Thank you for another unforgettable stay. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful departure, everything was exceptional. And of course, the food—it was phenomenal!

My family and I had a lovely stay at The Leela Ambience during our 15 August celebration. Spending Independence Day together in such a stunning and cozy hotel felt truly special. From the moment we arrived, the hotel provided a warm and welcoming environment. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, while the atmosphere was both serene and festive. We cherished the quality time spent enjoying meals, relaxing, and creating happy family memories. One person who made our stay extra memorable was Zoya. Her politeness, friendliness, and helpful nature stood out throughout our visit. She greeted us warmly at all times and ensured we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Her positivity and thoughtful service left a lasting impression. We deeply appreciated the way she cared for our family and made us feel so valued. The Independence Day celebration, exceptional hospitality, and Zoya’s outstanding service combined to make our visit truly unforgettable. It was a delightful family experience, and we would love to return to The Leela Ambience in the future.

Nestled in the peaceful part of Aerocity, Lemon Tree is perfect for long stays. From the sales team offering us a great long-stay deal to the hours spent dining with warm, family-like staff, every moment was delightful. Over two months, this place truly felt like home. Housekeeping was impeccable, leaving the room fresh and pleasant daily. The front office staff, particularly Aarti and Rahul, were always friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was a highlight—25 meters long, it allowed me to improve my lap times during my stay. The café was another standout, with Ritesh serving water with a flair that could rival any bartender and Chetan's uplifting positivity brightening even the dullest days. Overall, I experienced a wonderful "home away from home" atmosphere at Lemon Tree. My heartfelt thanks go to everyone, including those not mentioned, for making my stay unforgettable. It's excellent value for money, and I’ll definitely return.

Mrs. Seema and Mr. Himanshu from the housekeeping team were incredibly helpful despite being unable to speak or hear. They did an excellent job. When I wanted to order a coffee latte and had no clue how to do so, they made every effort to ensure I got exactly the coffee I desired, even overcoming the challenge of sign language communication. The staff at Lemon Tree Hotel are very well trained! I truly appreciate them.
