I drove to Miyazaki in March! We rented a car and visited the Moai Statues at Sunmesse Nichinan, Udo Shrine, Florante Miyazaki, and the Sea of Cruz Observatory ✨ It was windy and surprisingly cold at Sunmesse Nichinan, even in March 🥶 However, since we visited on a weekday, there weren't many tourists, so we could take our time snapping photos and enjoying the views! The grounds are huge, and it’s quite a walk from the parking lot, so I highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes! Udo Shrine, famous for its lucky stones (undama) and stunning ocean views, was a bit crowded, so it was slightly scary going up and down the stairs. Florante Miyazaki is filled with gorgeous flowers, and I heard they even have illuminations during certain seasons ✨ It's a great spot to enjoy all kinds of floral displays! The Sea of Cruz Observatory was practically empty, allowing us to take plenty of photos of the beautiful scenery at our own pace ✨ The only tricky part was figuring out where the water actually forms the shape of a cross 💦 All of these spots are quite far from central Miyazaki City, so renting a car is definitely the best way to get around 💡
