it’s always great idea - to spend couple of days in mountains, this year I picked Ischgl and 4* hotel Mondin. Austria has always been a favourite destination for us, but Ischgl was unexplored territory. Off-piste if you will (excuse the pun). Boy did it live up to expectations. Despite not having lots of snow, the lifts and runs were basically all open, and some of the pistes were stunning: great views, good snow, challenging but enjoyable at the same time. The food is delicious, especially the goulash soup, and some great beers also on offer across the mountain. Top Tips: 1. get up and go to make sure you don’t miss the best snow. 2. rent skis from outside of centre to get better deals. 3. make sure to go for dinner at Hotel Post - delicious and well worth it after a hard days skiing.
